Restaurant

We now have new opening hours

Sundays 10.30am to 6.30pm Our marvellous pizzas are on offer on this day and last orders will be taken at 4.30pm and the latest you can have your pizza is 6pm. Please note if you wish to take away your pizza from the oven then bring a tray or large plate. We will foil what you leave if you eat here.

Mondays 9.30am for lunch and dinner, we close when people leave.

Wednesdays 9.30am for drinks and dinner with the drums. We start serving at 6pm and the steel pan plays from 7 – 8pm with the drums starting as we finish serving food. There is usually a limbo competition also and lots of fun.

Fridays 9.30am for lunch and dinner, closing when people leave.

We prefer people to book for dinner where possible so that we have food for everyone but we are not known for turning people away.

Location

The Boathouse Restaurant enjoys the perfect location right on the beach at Little Bay (aka Heavenly Bay), Castara.  Our deck has sunny and shady spots depending on how you feel.  We also have a covered area in case of rain.

Our deck is the ideal spot to watch the sunset whilst enjoying a sundowner – perhaps a glass of our famous rum punch or some of our delicious cocktails!

Our food

Our food is all home-cooked.  The menu changes daily, depending on what is fresh at the market and on what the local fishermen catch.

We offer a range of meat (goat, chicken, lamb, pork, beef) and fish (lionfish, snapper, mahi-mahi, lobster, shrimp, squid) all accompanied by a vegetable plate made up of traditional Tobagonian dishes.

At certain times, we serve snack lunches (fried onion bake with fillings) and on Sundays, we offer our delicious home-made pizzas.

We can cater for special dietary requirements – vegan, gluten-free – if you notify us in advance. Please contact us ahead of your visit.

Now that we open four days a week do not worry, the Juice Bar is open when we are closed so drinks, snacks and lunch are still available using our bathrooms and seating.

Dinner and Drums

Every Wednesday, we offer dinner followed by an evening of African drumming and limbo dancing.

Juice Bar

In high season, we open our ‘juice bar’ serving traditional Tobagonian ‘shark ‘n’ bake’ and fish sandwiches, depending on what has been caught. This is still the case but they also serve buss up as well as local favourites like wings and fries.
